I currently own three bikes, but I've been riding for 25 years, and have owned a great many bicycles. I've always done my own maintenance. Like anyone that's wrenched on a lot of stuff, I'm able to tighten things by hand fairly accurately. But as my bikes have become more and more expensive, and increasingly made of Carbon Fiber, some years ago I decided that using a torque wrench was a smart play! And for the great majority of work I do, I use one. Prior to placing the order for these new Pro Bike Tool adjustable torque wrench, I had three torque wrenches that I used for small jobs like bike maintenance...a Park TW 5.2, a Quinn electronic torque wrench, and a Proto 1/4" drive torque wrench. All three of those were checked using an electronic calibration tool for torque wrenches, and they are all remarkably consistent compared one to the other! But like I said...I wanted a set-and-forget solution for the most common jobs. My intention was to dedicate each tool to one of the three settings (4, 5, and 6NM), and put a label on each identifying which it was. Well, today, I received three of the Pro Bike Tools Adjustable Torque Wrench, and I'm super disappointed at what I found. Because I'm pretty fussy about stuff like this, I wanted to verify that the new tools delivered the right torque. So the first thing I did was check them against my other torque wrenches. As it turned out, the first Pro Bike Tools torque wrench I tested, at an indicated 4NM, was actually applying about 5.1-5.3 NM of torque before it clicked. At an indicated torque of 6NM, it was applying 8.1-8.3NM of torque before clicking. I ran the same test against all three of the Pro Bike Tools torque wrenches, and the results were the same in each case...all of them were way higher than the indicated value, and by nearly the identical amounts! At whatever indicated setting I chose on the adjustable wrench, the actual applied torque was roughly 30% higher than it was supposed to be. That's just not acceptable! A torque wrench has only one job. And most torque wrenches have to do it over a much wider range than 4-6NM. So for these tools to consistently exceed the indicated torque value by over 30% is unacceptable. Certainly, one could go ahead and use them, knowing that 4NM (indicated) is actually 5.1NM, and that 6NM indicated is actually 8+NM. But what happens if you really need to go down to 4NM? What happens if you forget, and accidentally apply 8.2 NM of torque to a fastener that's only supposed to go to 6NM? I'm sending them back for a refund. I'll try the Park Tools model instead, and hope that for nearly twice the price, the Park model is at least delivering the correct torque!

The multiple torque settings is perfect for keeping my bikes properly tuned. This replaces 2 separate torque wrenches. The hex wrench to change the torques preve nts any accidental changes.
Although I own a more complete torque wrench, this tool is great to have lying around for tightening bolts between rides. One never has to worry about over torquing the bolts in my carbon stems, seat posts or handlebars as the torque setting remains set until you change it with a 6mm hex head. Having three other bits to cover the most common bolt heads is a great feature. Pro Bike quality is top shelf!

Nice little torque wrench perfect for keeping your loved mtb nicely torqued to specs. Should have bought this a while ago, super sturdy seems and feels well made. It will keep your bike's bolts nicely torqued. I hate stripping bolt heads or messing up the thread. Nice little torque wrench perfect for keeping your loved mtb nicely torqued to specs. Should have bought this a while ago, super sturdy seems and feels well made. It will keep your bike's bolts nicely torqued. I hate stripping bolt heads or messing up the thread. Pro Bike Tools are simply the best. I not only own the adjustable Torque Wrench but many other Pro Bike tool Items. PBT are so good I've replaced most of all my other bike tools that I have from another competitor that have left me feeling "blue" because theirs are more expensive and aren't as durable. I recently used this torque wrench to tight to spec all necessary bolts only rebuild of my XC MTB. Not that I've ever needed to torque a bolt on a local ride but this is small enough to keep in my saddle bag just in case an it goes with me on all of my ultra rides. I had an old torque wrench that was difficult to figure out and I didn't really trust the settings, due to age. Im not testing this product for accuracy but it does feel li ke right force per setting and it takes very little effort/thought to set it. If you have a carbon frame of parts you really need something like this to avoid making an expensive mistake.

I'm really impressed with this product. Good price and an excellent product. The cap holding the extra wrench set seals titly and hold the items without a problem during the wrench use. You cannot beat this product.

Didn’t last long. The piece that holds the bit came off one use and doesn’t hold back into place. The torque is now inaccurate because I also have the pro tool 1/4 torque wrench set that I use in comparison :( would like to claim that lifetime warranty
